- OK, so technically not part of the project bike, but getting rid of the "bad boy" is pretty important as no matter how much money you save on labor you still need to have some parts... I mean, hoses and cables that aren't fraying seems like a measley demand.
- Get my very first big kid "mechanic's tool set"... I'm debating whether or not this is a go big or go home situation or if I can save a few bones by not getting the two-hundred-some-off craftsman set from Sears... I need metric, but I'd rather pay for good tools once than pay for cheap ones over and over
- Well I may not be a mechanic, but my extensive sailing knowledge of Bernoulli's principle and the Venturi effect (I guess that's more from bio) seem to be coming in handy. At least I get the role of the carburetors now! Rebuild kits won't be in 'til monday but I might try some tinkering with my new tools.
- God willing- get out to a salvage yard and start trying to find side covers. At least I know for sure it's a 750k now, so that's a step in the right direction, but I can't help envisioning myself like Wall-E lost in a trash heap (worst comes to worst the swapmeet tomorrow might be more my speed).
